Body Hair Removal

frequently asked questions
What method of hair removal is better?
Depends on your hair type, skin type, and the location in which you're removing hair. Your practitioner will determine at the time of your appointment which process will work best for you. Will it hurt? Many people find sugaring to be less painful than waxing. Sugaring only pulls out the wanted hairs and doesn't disturb the skin, meaning less irritation. While pain tolerance varies from person to person, we make an effort to make your experience as comfortable as possible. We can apply a topical anesthetic to dull any discomfort, and recommend that you avoid caffeine and alcohol the day of your treatment as this may increase sensitivity. Will I get ingrown hairs? Ingrown hairs occur when dead skin clogs a hair follicle, forcing the hair to grow sideways under your skin, rather than up and out. After your treatment, we clean the treated areas and apply an antiseptic so your pores and skin remain clean and disinfected to prevent breakouts and ingrown hairs. Do not exercise immediately following your treatment, and we recommend exfoliating the treated areas in the shower after about a week to prevent bumps, breakouts and ingrown hairs. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Who performs the service? The service will be performed by one of our male licensed estheticians to ensure your comfort and privacy. How do I schedule an appointment? Call our office at (888) 347-2551 or email us at info@jhonjhon.com. When scheduling, a $50 security deposit will be required to reserve your appointment. Your security deposit will be applied towards the cost of your procedure. What should I do to prepare for my appointment? Do not exercise before your treatment, and please arrive fresh and clean. We also recommend that you refrain from drinking caffeine or alcohol the day of your treatment, as this may heighten your skin's sensitivity. How often do I need to come back? The suggested timeline to return for additional treatments is 3-5 weeks. Sugaring or waxing requires a minimum hair length of 1/8". |
